CLASS DESCRIPTION
Learn 2 skills in one workshop!
Ceramics and printmaking play well together. In this 3 hour workshop you will slab build a set of festive ornaments and apply seasonal designs to each of them using various printing techniques including; stamping, gel plates and screen printing.
Your pieces will be fired and glazed with a shiny clear glaze to highlight your beautiful designs.
Pieces will be ready before it's time to decorate for the holidays.
All materials are provided.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Leah Springate
Leah is a printmaker and book designer now living in Owen Sound. She graduated with honours from the Ontario College of Art where she specialized in Printmaking and Book Arts. After a 20-year career designing books at Penguin Random House Canada, she left to focus on producing her own work as co-proprietor of Mammoth Hall Press, a private printmaking and design studio.
She has worked in many printmaking media including linocut and woodcut, etching and drypoint, screen-printing, cyanotype, and letterpress.
Her work is held internationally in public and private collections.
