POTTERY MENTORED STUDIO

DESCRIPTION

These mentored studio classes provides you with a supportive environment to continue to hone your skills. An experienced instructor will provide personalized instruction to help you gain confidence in throwing on the wheel.

For clay 1 non-member participants, these classes will allow you practice the skills you have learned and to improve your control of cylinder construction. Trimming and decoration can be done within your skill set. There will be a once monthly glazing session for you to finish off your pieces. Clay is purchased separately and you will be responsible for the reclaiming and management of your clay. This is a way to keep improving before you take clay 2/3.

For members this is an opportunity for you to receive help with sticking points in your throwing technique and to work on throwing larger vessels. Glazing improvement and simple additions and alterations can be worked on.
