DESCRIPTION
Chainsaw Sculpting Carving
This is one of the noisiest forms of artistic expression. Chainsaw carving is not unlike carving with stone, it is a reductive modelling technique. In this introductory course you will learn; how to safely carve forms from a block of solid wood, proper saw handling, safety concerns and the proper sequence of cuts that will lead to your first successful chainsaw sculpture. Techniques for detailing and finishing will complete the day.
This is a perfect course for anyone with chainsaw experience that would like to take them in a new creative direction.
