DESCRIPTION
If you’ve always wondered whether the world of glass art is for you, then this is your class! This short and sweet class is part of the annual Foli-Arts plant expo. Prepare to be amazed by the array of tropical plants!
No experience is required in this half day course where you will learn the basic techniques of Stained Glass copper foil method and leave with a beautiful plant stake.
Skill sets you will learn are how to score and break glass, follow a pattern, apply copper foil, assemble, solder and polish.
Upon completion of this class, you will have a completed a 5 piece project, and have learned the basic skills of copper foil and will move you toward future novice classes in either foil or lead.
All materials, hand tools and equipment are included.
Safety: Closed toe shoes, safety glasses, and a sense of humour are mandatory. You may bring your own safety glasses, or they are available for use from the Centre. If you have an old pair of nicely fitting leather or heat resistant gloves, they will be useful, but not essential.
Hand strength and standing for parts of the class is required.

Patti DiFlorio is a passionate and trained stained glass artisan utilizing traditional and classic methods in copper foil and leaded glass designs.
