YOUR TUTOR
My name is Sarah McKeown and I have been a water marbling artist since 2018. I have painted on a variety of items such as hats and fans but my favourite mediums are silk and paper. Silk is an amazing fabric to paint on as the colours stay so vibrant and each scarf is a unique, wearable work of art. I am also drawn to upcycling vintage paper, a practice that adds depth, character, and history to each piece while giving new life to materials that might otherwise be discarded. My other artistic interests are photography, fibre and fabric arts, jewellery making, and furniture restoration to name a few. Water marbling has been my biggest artistic obsession yet!
