DESCRIPTION

This one day introductory class is for those who are absolute beginners. You will learn the very basics of throwing on the potter's wheel. This is a fun and quick way to introduce yourself to throwing on the wheel and find out if you would like to pursue a 5 week introductory course. Three pieces will be saved to be bisque fired and glaze fired. Your pieces will be ready for pick up in 2 to 3 weeks or shipped to you for a fee.

Sharon Zhao

Sharon first learned to throw on the wheel after university, but put the craft on hold when she lived in Southeast Asia. After relocating back to North America 8 years ago, she enthusiastically returned to pottery. A newcomer to the Grey-Bruce region, Sharon loves making functional pieces, exploring unique surface textures, and sharing her passion with students and members at GB Arts.
