DESCRIPTION
Over 2 Sundays, participants will learn to create a pair of beaded leather mittens from deer hide and rabbit fur. The first class will focus on beading a design on the back of your mittens and the second class will focus on putting them together.
Choose a simple beading motif from from the instructors files, (or bring your own) Your instructor Kim Raven will show you how to bead your design and you will have access to the vast collection of beads at GB Arts.

No experience necessary, all materials provided.

Kim Raven
Raven is deeply rooted in her Haudenosaunee, Mohawk, Wolf Clan beliefs and traditions. Making and creating traditional indigenous arts has long been a passion she has had the privilege to explore and share with others. Over the years she has learned and developed many of her artisan skills from her grandmother and other family and community members. Sharing her passion for these arts with others, passing the teachings, knowledge and crafts onto the next generations is truly a joy and a privilege to her.
